Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Back Office team within the Treasury Middle Office at Starling Bank. This role will help identify, measure and manage all specific Financial, Market and Transactional Risks emanating from the Front Office.

The individual will have experience of working in a Treasury team and able to contribute in helping to deliver a 'best in class' Middle Office function.

Key responsibilities for the role will be:

  • Provide support to the Treasury Front Office
  • Cash Management for Treasury and Group Payments
  • Ensuring timely and accurate settlement of Cash, FX, Securities, Income and Derivative transactions
  • Back Office settlement of the Single Collateral Pool BoE Scheme
  • Support Faster Payments, BACS and CHAPS Clearing transactions
  • SWAP AdministrationExternal Bank and Internal Cross Division Relationship Management
  • Cash and Securities Collateral with CP's and SCM's, including SWAPS
  • Maintain TMS static data including FX Rates
  • Reconcile Treasury Nostro accounts and prepare accounting entries
  • FX and MM Confirmation matching
  • Provide Bank Charges Analysis
  • Help manage Agent Bank Relationships
  • Repo and Reverse Repo Settlement
  • SME support for Treasury Projects and New Business Initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience of working in either a Treasury Back or Middle Office function
  • Detailed overall knowledge of OTC Derivatives, Money Market and FX Products
  • Experience of different payment mechanisms including SEPA, TARGET2, CHAPS, FPS, BACS, Fedwire and SWIFT
  • Good working knowledge of SWIFT MT's for Cash, FX, Securities and Statements
  • Experience of using a Treasury Management System
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritise work whilst working remotely

Ideally you should have:

  • Experience of TMS implementation, including User Acceptance Testing
  • VBA and SQL experience
  • Advance Microsoft Excel skills
