For you as a finance professional, Boskalis offers various opportunities in the role of financial controller. You will be part of the Business Unit Marine Services, part of the Division Offshore Energy. A dynamic and challenging environment in which you will actively contribute to the position of financial control and the standardized way of work for the Offshore Energy division. You will interact with the different business units and staff department within the Offshore Energy Division on finance, accounting and IT related items.

Your responsibilities as a financial controller

In the role of financial controller you report to the Business Unit Controller of Marine Services and you are a sparring partner for our location in Antwerp. You will work from the Papendrecht office and you are responsible for:

  • Preparing of the consolidation package including reconciliation of intergroup transactions.
  • Analyzing consolidation packages in order to verify their correctness.
  • Participating in the implementation of a new ERP system and reporting support system for consolidation purposes.
  • Playing an active role in project teams working on finance related process improvements within the Business Unit Marine Services and the Offshore Energy division.

Your qualities and experience

  • A bachelor/Masters degree in business economics, business administration, accountancy or similar.
  • At least have 5 years of experience in preparing consolidated financial statements in a similar position.
  • Relevant kowlegde of Excel, ERP systems (SAP or likewise).
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Great stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Your team: You will be a part of the business unit marine services part of the offshore energy division. You will work closely together with 7 other financial controllers and managers based in Antwerp and Papendrecht.
  • Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.
  • Full/part-time job: The position of function is a full-time (40 hours a week) job.
