What will you be doing?

Future Data Foundation & Insights Project (FDFI)

Within the FDFI team we’re taking a greenfield approach to the entire data landscape of RGN. We are moving to Tableau as a front end tool and we are using AWS as our cloud provider, but everything from the data warehouse to scheduling, data governance and data quality tooling is being looked at.

There are also multiple programs running within RGN where we move to Salesforce for a lot of our source systems for example.

It is a dynamic environment with a lot going on, but you will have the chance to create the new standards for the data models to be used in the future.

DI Team

Within the Data Insights team we know the roles product owner, scrum master, analyst, data engineer, infra specialist and MicroStrategy specialist. Our common goal is to make data work for RGN, our customers and candidates.

The team is responsible for the Management Information System of the Randstad Group Netherlands (Randstad, Tempo-Team and Yacht).

Our data engineers integrate and transform the data from the different systems and then load it into our data warehouse. Accuracy, completeness and timeliness are paramount, with the performance and stability in mind. If the data is in our data warehouse, our MicroStrategy specialists will create the semantic / schema layer, the attributes and the metrics. The result is a self-service environment for creating reports and dashboards. In addition, we develop standard reports and dashboards that are used throughout the organization.

What do we expect from you?

  • You have at a few years experience developing in java

  • Knowledge of data governance

  • Knowledge of data management

  • Extensive knowledge of DWH and BI concepts (Kimball, Datavault 2.0, virtualization)

  • Extensive knowledge of BI architecture

  • Extensive experience with dimensional modeling and related tools

  • Experience with information and data analysis

it would be nice if the candidate also has:

  • Knowledge of Salesforce

  • Knowledge of Human Resourcing

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure

  • Agile WoW

skills and competencies the candidate will need are:

  • fluent in Dutch and/or English, both orally and in writing

  • independent learner
