The role

The Integrated Planner & Scheduler is the key person between Sales, Customer Service, Warehouses and Global planning. Main target for the Integrated Planner & Scheduler is to guarantee an uninterrupted supply process by balancing supply, inventory and demand. Furthermore, you are an active partner on all supply related questions from business partners (BO Management, Demand Manager, Product Quality, Sales, Logistics, Customers Services, Manufacturing and Supply Planner). The Integrated Planner & Scheduler works closely with the global planning team and reports to the EMEA Supply Chain Manager, Care Solutions.

Responsibilities

The processes and tasks he/she will be involved in include, but are not limited to the following:

Planning

  • Develop and maintain the 6-month rolling supply plan for both imported and locally produced products at the manufacturing sites or tolling partners
  • Understand and execute the key analytics in line with the supply processes to achieve optimal demand & supply balance
  • Participate and contribute in Integrated Business Planning processes
  • Model "what-if" scenarios and propose optimized solutions based on variable supply/demand conditions
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate variances from plan. Manage and resolve variances and exceptions.
  • Actively supports the Supply Manager in developing the 24-month supply plan and participates in the S&OP process.

Inventory

  • Responsible for warehouse inventory planning of the external and internal warehouses. Manage inventory levels and replenishment orders in line with agreed inventory targets
  • Responsible for managing aged & blocked inventories, and working with manufacturing and product management to minimize impact to the business.
  • Responsible for monthly reconciliations of inventory levels stored at 3rd party warehouses and consignment stocks
  • Evaluate and maintain Safety Stock and Target Inventory numbers for the region

Projects & Coordination

  • Support, handle, coordinate and/or facilitate problem solving around customer inquiries and business processes, such as: product management, complaint handling and returned material.
  • Understand business and product strategies for the product range covered.
  • Provide report inputs or updates. Continually seek ways to improve information visibility and availability.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of key customers, markets and products in area of responsibility.
  • Initiate improvement opportunities (processes, tools and knowledge) and support implementation of these pro-actively, including optimization of shipment modes, loads, inventory strategy and packaging based on costs
  • Responsible for maintaining and optimizing Master Data of the Advanced Planning Tool

Qualifications/Skills

  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor Degree with equivalent experience, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Engineering
  • APICS CPIM or comparable certification is a pre
  • Excellent analytical skills in combination with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language
  • Good command of SAP and advanced planning software, preferably OMP
  • Strong in organizing and has a structured way of working. High level of customer focus and works accurately, also under pressure.
  • Self-starter and independent thinker who can think outside the box, work in a team environment and is flexible in a changing environment
