We are looking for Starter / Junior developers with a passion for software engineering!

Whether it was that long-cherished dream, that friend who triggered you and threw a book in your lap, that one acquaintance who wanted a website, the space you saw at work to optimize a process or that evening class or bootcamp where you started out a bit skeptical on what to expect...

No matter how it started for you, somewhere that flame started burning in you too! You are now at the point where you hope that you can turn that solid foundation into a professional career in development.

Do you recognize yourself in this and are you indeed looking for that way in? The chance to turn your (still) hobby into a career:

Sign up for the Voormedia Academy!

During the Voormedia Academy you will gain practical experience in the field of front-end development (React.Js), Back-end development (Ruby on Rails and Node.Js) and you will receive on-the-job coaching from senior colleagues.

We focus on your personal development as much as possible and have no other expectation in the first 7 months than that you will do your utmost to be a great colleague and become a good developer.

Little by little you will get to know the various projects that we are running at Voormedia. This way you gain experience in various environments and industries. Think about; an integration with the CoronaCheck-App, Extranet environment, Product configurator, SAAS solution for the hospitality sector, etc..

Perhaps you are thinking "That's all great, but after all those hours in the (digital) study banks I finally wanted to earn a decent salary." The beauty of all this: that too is part of this trajectory! From day 1 you will simply be paid properly (see conditions).

“Okay, nice!, so what's in it for me?”

We believe in our qualities to let junior developers excel and hope that after this extensive investment in your personal development we have also seen each other's value for the longer term and both are enthusiastic to continue the collaboration from here.

But if not, no hard feelings. Then we even want to support you in your search for the next adventure.

Conditions

  • € 2200 - 2700* based on 40h;
  • 8% holiday allowance;
  • 25 vacation days;
  • A good balance between working remotely and on location;
  • Team outings, workations and memorable Voormedia expeditions.

* Depending on selection result and experience at the start.

Minimum requirements to participate

  • You have a passion for development;
  • Higher education or equivalent ability;
  • You have 6+ months of (professional / non-professional) experience in development;
  • You are undoubtedly a little stubborn, but not so much that this hinders your own development;
  • You are proactive and ring the bell when you get stuck;
  • You are a good person and a nice addition to our compact team.

The selection

  • Assessments: Abstract, Verbal and Personality;
  • Actively supervised and mentored technical assignment (with 2 of our software engineers);
  • General introductory interview.

When?

Our next academy will start on February 1, 2023. A maximum of 6 students will participate.

We create websites, produce videos and build custom applications.
We are a dedicated and passionate team of both creative and analytical individuals. Together focusing on creating the best results, forming long-lasting relationships with our clients and using the best tools available to work our magic.
