What you’ll be responsible for as a Product Director at albelli-Photobox Group

Our customer base is changing the way that they interact with us and we need to transform our approach to capture this demand. This role will play a key part in helping us with this transformation away from a predominately desktop based organisation. Leveraging our existing platform to solve customer problems on the platform where their photos exist.

As Product Director you’ll lead multiple product teams split between our London and Amsterdam offices. The teams are cross-functional and accountable for interfaces and services that power our Apps, Editing Experiences, Shopping Experience, Acquisition and Ecommerce APIs.

With your understanding of large-scale e-commerce platforms, you’ll guide your teams to build both web and app based customer journeys, built in scalable web services whilst keeping an appreciation of the challenges engineers face when bringing ideas to life.

Coach your teams to be ambassadors to the wider albelli-photo book organisation across all of our groups' brands (albelli, Bonusprint, Monalbumphoto, fotoknudsen, önskefoto, Photobox, Hofmann and PosterXXL).

The impact you’ll make

  • Design, set, deliver - and evangelise - a Product strategy for a group-wide eCommerce product.
  • This needs to deliver in year value, whilst moving us in the strategic direction of simplifying our multiple digital experiences (from 4 platforms to 1)
  • Create product KPIs and goals for cascading & cross functional alignment
  • Understand and apply customer data and feedback to drive customer-centric product decisions
  • Collaborate and partner extensively with Design, Technology, Commercial, Marketing and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and feasibility
  • Develop a close relationship with stakeholders across the business
  • Lead, manage and coach a high performing team of Product Managers
  • Ensure that we have the right teams in place to execute upon our strategy
  • Ensure those teams are focused on the most impactful opportunities
  • Coach your Product Managers through difficult problems on a regular basis, with an emphasis on developing them as professionals
  • Attract, develop, and retains top product talent
  • Raise the bar on defining team and cross-functional processes and mechanisms to deliver at scale, bringing best practice from across the industry into the organisation.
  • Be an active and valued member of the Product Leadership team, and operate as a well


Minimum experience needed:

  • Demonstrable experience managing teams of product specialists
  • Experience setting Product strategy across multiple tech domains
  • Past experience working with and influencing C-Suite level stakeholders
  • You’ve coached & developed Product Managers before
  • You’re a seasoned Product Manager

Even better if you have experience with:

  • Previous experience managing eCommerce Products
  • Previous experience in tech migrations
  • Previous experience managing internationally dispersed teams.
  • Previous experience of hiring, mentoring and coaching outstanding Product professionals
