Wise is one the fastest growing companies in Europe and we’re on a mission: to make money without borders the new normal. We’ve got 10 million customers across the globe and we’re growing. Fast.
Current banking systems don’t let us send, spend or receive money across borders easily. Or quickly. Or cheaply.
So, we’re building a new one.
And, we need a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our mission and build our product, creating a scalable, performing platform so that Wise works as it should.
In this role you’ll get to work on challenging technical problems across the full product life-cycle. You’ll be building complex systems that translate in a smooth customer experience.
The team you’ll be working with: Activity
The Activity team is a diverse and full stack team that builds products and platforms that all our customers, as well as other teams, use.
As the team is a central part of the company, we collaborate heavily with other teams across Wise to build the best international account experience, at scale, for our customers.
Some of the products we own, on all platforms, are:
In order to get there, one of our challenges is to provide a bespoke experience to our customers while still allowing them to understand in a transparent way how their money is behaving, which is why we still have a long way to go before reaching our goal.
…but don’t worry we don’t expect you to know everything!
We’re making a positive, irreversible change in the world of finance. Together.
People on every continent around the world are choosing TransferWise to help them live, travel and work internationally. We’re the fairest, easiest way to send money overseas.
Built by and for people who live global lives, we make sending money abroad up to 8 times cheaper than the bank. This is money without borders - instant, convenient, transparent and eventually free.
