Job Description

Location: Amsterdam (hybrid, minimum 1-2 days at the office)

Length: 6 months

Time: 32-40 hours per week (thesis support is possible if required, ideally 1 day per week)

Expected Start Date: November 2022


Marketplaces – like Amazon, eBay, AliExpress and – are online shopping platforms, similar to virtual shopping malls, that facilitate commerce between sellers and buyers. These platforms capture more consumer spend than ever before and have become the one-stop shopping destination for many consumers looking for the latest product innovations and trends from various manufacturers.

At Philips Domestic Appliances we consider 3rd Party Marketplaces as one of the key future growth areas. Come and help us to succeed on Marketplaces by joining our Direct to Consumer (D2C) eCommerce team and accelerate growth for Philips Domestic Appliances!

The Role & Team

In this role, you have the opportunity to be part of a dedicated, diverse and fun Direct to Consumer team. Mainly supporting the 3rd Party Marketplaces lead with driving revenues through platforms across Europe, such as eBay,, Kaufland and Cdiscount. You will focus on offering the right assortment, with superb content, at the right moment to the right consumer on marketplaces. You will be working closely with the Category Merchandisers, Demand Planning and the Activation team to ensure the right offer and drive successful campaigns. Also, using data and insights with a test and learn mindset to continuously improve performance.

You will be supporting the team in areas like:

  • Managing product listings
  • Optimizing the product content
  • Reporting and data analysis
  • Campaign and promotional planning

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Digital Marketing or something similar
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to write and speak effectively in English. Dutch, French or German would be a plus.
  • Analytical skills: proficient with excel, or at least having the willingness to learn.
  • Digital savvy: Basic Knowledge of digital marketing and eCommerce (SEO, SEA, Analytics, Consumer Journeys, User Experience)
  • Curious mindset, energetic, positive and proactive approach
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • Detail and results-oriented
