What will you be doing

As a Management Trainee you will complete three projects of six months and a Customer Experience assignment of two months at four different Pon companies. The duration of your Traineeship will be 20 months total.

The first project will be selected for you by your Talent Development Manager. You will be in the lead for choosing the next three projects. We challenge you to explore Pon to the full extent, by doing projects in different business groups (Automotive, Bike, Industrial Mobility and Equipment & Power Systems), various functional areas (such as Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and so on) and in both the Netherlands and abroad.

During your Customer Experience assignment, you will discover the true roots of Pon and have direct contact with various customers.

Throughout your traineeship there will be a strong focus on your personal development: you will have access to an external coach, participate in three training weeks and have various people (the Talent Development Manager, a senior mentor, project sponsors and of course the trainee (alumni) community) to support you along the way.

After your management traineeship

The Management Traineeship is designed to develop our future leaders’ competencies. Pon aims to prepare trainees for a Management Team or other key position within five to seven years after completing the program. During your final project you will apply for your first position. Typical roles for a Management Trainee after the program include account manager, product manager, branch manager, business development manager, customer success manager or team lead in sales, service, marketing or supply chain.

  • A university Master's degree (or to be completed before May 2023)
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
  • And last but not least, humor, enthusiasm and having fun is very important (it’s in our Pon DNA)!

Application process and instructions

We welcome applications between September 22th and October 16th 2022. The first step of the application process requires uploading your resume. Shortly after uploading your resume you will receive an email with further instructions about your pre-assessment and your video interview, as well as detailed information concerning the rest of the process.

You will have to complete all these components before October 16th, so make sure to upload your resume a few days before the deadline, to build in enough time to make the pre-assessment.

Our selection procedure consists of 5 steps:

  1. Apply: September 22- October 16
  2. Assessment: October 20-24
  3. Interviews (online): October 31 - November 4
  4. The Game is (P)on (live): November 9
  5. Final Selection Days (live): November 15 or 16

We kindly ask you to block the dates of the selection procedure in your calendar as we want to ensure a short and smooth selection process. Please note that if you accept a job offer within Pon, you may start at any moment between January and May 2023.
