Purpose of role

The Finance Centre is Grosvenor’s UK centre of excellence for financial reporting and control. Within this framework, the Supplier Analyst is key in supporting the business in delivering both commercial and social value through effective supplier management. It has accountability for the supplier onboarding process, including helping to embed the new Supplier Onboarding portal and supporting our Supply Chain Charter.

Both procurement and day-to-day supplier management are decentralised, with business teams selecting their own suppliers and responsible for performance. They are however supported by Relationship (responsible for specific suppliers) and Category Managers (responsible for categories of suppliers), who sit in the business teams take on these roles alongside their usual roles. This

Supplier Analyst role involves partnering with these business teams working with suppliers to facilitate coordinated and impactful supplier management and high performing teams.

This role provides the option of a hybrid working pattern depending on business needs in line with Grosvenor’s policy, after initial team integration. It is also an excellent opportunity to develop general knowledge and skills in business operations and risk management, as well as the specifics of a multi- sector property investment and development business.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the set-up of new suppliers, existing supplier changes, and associated database administration in line with policy but with the ability to make appropriate judgement calls when required
  • Assisting in finalising and embedding the new Supplier Onboarding System, ensuring strong controls and efficiency around supplier onboarding
  • Scope to drive improvements in current processes and reporting, including tracking and enhancing supplier performance
  • Provide effective spend analysis and insight to the business
  • Responsible for supplier reconciliations
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business To achieve this, it will be necessary to:
  • Be thorough to ensure that the supplier onboarding process is rigorous, efficient and adheres to policy
  • Manage and prioritise stakeholder requests in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner
  • Act as a trusted business partner, by building and maintaining excellent collaborative relationships with the Relationship Managers, Category Managers, and other key stakeholders
  • Support the business in setting and monitoring supplier KPIs
  • Challenge performance where it falls short of expected standards and highlight areas of outperformance that can be replicated elsewhere

Key requirements

  • An eye for detail but with the ability to see the big picture and make judgement calls as required
  • Skillful in managing stakeholder relationships and good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, able to quickly manipulate and make sense of large datasets using excel and other tools
  • Reconciliation experience
