The Opportunity

We are now looking for a Principal Cyber Security Analyst to join our team! This position plays a vital role in the continued development of the security monitoring and response services provided to our customers. This is a phenomenal opportunity for an expert security professional with security operations experience to progress into a lead role.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for carrying out SOC Tier 2 services covering Analysis & Investigation Assistance, Security Incident Escalation and Security Content Management functions.
  • Supporting Content Management through SIEM rule development and underlying security technology development.
  • Performing advanced diagnosis and remediation planning of security incidents.
  • Work with Engineering teams in relation to new developments and solution testing to provide feedback and further develop knowledge which can be distributed amongst operational staff.
  • Participate in technical discussions with peers across other Service Lines.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Strong cyber incident investigation skills
  • Proven ability to explain technical content to a non-technical audience
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience of cyber security operations services, technologies, and delivery
  • Current or previous experience working within a variety of security products
  • Experience integrating cybersecurity solutions
  • Good technical security knowledge of network architecture, IT infrastructure, applications, and systems. Including an understanding of cloud services such as Azure and AWS
  • Industry certifications / training not essential but potentially an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong document-writing skills

Primary office location Birmingham, England or Moray, Scotland with flexible working hours.
