To support our business in Northern Europe, we are recruiting a motivated Azure DevOps Lead to join our team!

The role

The role requires experience of leading DevOps Engineering teams and combines aspects of both technical and an IT operations role.

Your responsibilities

  • Work with customers throughout the whole cloud lifecycle, providing comprehensive support to transform and evolve their application portfolios via native cloud development.
  • You will act a bridge between the engineering team and the end customer, and so must be able to provide regular progress updates and flag any issues accordingly.
  • Support customers using the latest software development methods with a set of validated DevOps and DevSecOps practices to build the right environment to rapidly launch new services to customers.
  • The team you oversee will be involved with coding, and a knowledge of coding languages and principles is required to find problems and build solutions. You will also be involved in the project management and planning side of development.

How we imagine the right person:

  • An excellent communicator between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience of managing (either directly or indirectly) large technical teams.
  • Delivery of project requirements, leveraging and developing repeatable methods and standards.
  • Fault finding, guidance on issue escalation and resolution.
  • DevOps trained, proficient with Azure platform product offerings and principles, complemented with pipeline and IaC skills (Azure pipeline, Jenkins, Ansible and Terraform).
  • ARM Templates.
  • Azure ADO.
  • Azure deployment.
  • Jira.
  • Experience in DevOps engineering & Agile principles for large enterprises or public sector.
  • Demonstrated project development and leadership skills.
  • Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC) required.

Education and experience

  • At least 3 years in engineering, architectural. operational role delivery cloud services.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field.
