IN A NUTSHELL.

You are responsible for the growth of Check in Germany. You are an experienced growth marketer that has launched new markets before. You work self-sufficiently and know how to translate our goals into results, whilst always keeping our brand guidelines in mind. You create content, set up campaigns, manage our communication channels, and analyze the results to ensure continuous improvement.

ABOUT CHECK.

Check is a fast-growing shared mobility platform, providing the easiest way around town. We believe urban mobility can be more efficient and we want everyone in every city to be able to reach their destination within 15 minutes. We do this by introducing new and smart forms of mobility. Our shared e-mopeds are available in cities throughout The Netherlands and Germany.

A year and a half ago we launched our first 160 e-mopeds in Rotterdam and within 6 months we 10x-ed that, opening in Amsterdam, The Hague and Breda. Not long thereafter we turned profitable as a company at group level and became an international company by opening our first German city: Düsseldorf. And we’re just getting started.

THE ROLE.

You will be joining the three-person Growth team, responsible for User Acquisition & Activation in Germany. Other roles in the team are User Acquisition & Activation in the Netherlands, Product Strategy, and Public Affairs.

You will be strategizing and executing all local growth initiatives in Germany. You will cooperate closely with the Growth Manager Netherlands, ensuring cross-market synergies. A large portion of your time will be devoted to creating content that resonates with our user base. You are comfortable with creating- and adhering to content calendars. E-mail, push messaging, social media - you know all communication channels like the back of your hand. You know how to set up campaigns and analyse the performance to ensure an even better result next time. You are comfortable with running your own shop and proactively look for opportunities to further grow Check.

Besides this, you will formulate- and execute the overarching growth strategy of Check together with the rest of the Growth team. You participate in the weekly Growth meeting to discuss results and important topics. You attend the off-site Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) together with the rest of the Check team to brainstorm about the future of the company (and - of course - to #enjoytheride).

To enhance the current skill set of the Growth team, our dream candidate also has specialist knowledge on either app analytics, marketing automation, predictive marketing or customer journey design. However, this is not a condition to apply.

Please note that social advertising is not part of your responsibilities.

CORE VALUES.

  • #Be an owner: we treat everything we do or use as if it is our own. Everyone gets and takes full ownership for his or her responsibilities.
  • #Always raise the bar: always try to exceed expectations. Not only in your own work, but also in inspiring others.
  • #Be focused: work on what moves the needle and don't stop until that is fully integrated into our business. Prioritise & plan. Do less, but execute what you do to perfection.
  • #Enjoy the ride: work should feel like a paid hobby.

THE OFFER.

  • The chance to work in a fast-moving, energetic and dynamic environment;
  • Full time 40h position;
  • Flexible working hours;
  • Flexible vacation days (27+ option to buy more/sell days you don't use);
  • 6 weeks of paternity leave with 100% salary for all upcoming dads;
  • Free lunch and snacks at the office;
  • The possibility to work remote (2- or 3-day travel to Amsterdam approximately every month, more often in the beginning);
  • Free e-moped rides;
  • Quarterly team outings.

YOUR PROFILE.

  • Native German speaker and familiar with German market characteristics and popular culture;
  • 3-5 year relevant work experience in tech, mobility, e-commerce, or similar;
  • Experience with launching new markets;
  • Experience with content creation, e-mail marketing and copywriting;
  • Makes data-driven decisions, knows how to analyze and interpret data, experience with data visualisation tools (Google Analytics, Tableau);
  • Preferably has experience with one or more of the following disciplines:
  • App analytics and attribution;
  • Marketing automation;
  • AI, ML & predictive marketing analytics;
  • Customer journey design (UX/UI)
  • An interesting story and a track record to back this all up.
