The role

You will be a Principal SDET working as an integral part of the Data Platform team, assisting Engineers in the development of our products, and assisting other teams within the Company. You will be a crucial influencer in increasing testing and automation for multiple aspects of the business and will actively mentor engineers and help them grow.

What you’ll need to succeed

You will be required to develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using current and new frameworks. Additionally, you will implement other test tools your expertise dictates. Moreover, you will liaise with Developers, Architects, develop and maintain test sets, and create additional tools that simplify tasks.

The requirements for this role are:

  • Be proficient in Java and Python (GoLang is a plus)
  • Have experience with AWS, Jenkins, Docker, and K8S
  • Have experience with API testing (Rest API and Streaming API) and JSON
  • Have a good understanding of Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Deep understanding of cloud native stack, containerization and analytics, and DevOps mindset, enabling a continuous delivery pipeline while meeting the functional and quality attributes.
  • Experience developing automation and analyzing test results to ensure quality and recommend corrective action on both platforms is a must.
  • Skills to develop/research automation tools used to improve the test coverage efficiency and sufficiency. Develop and evolve test frameworks, tools, infrastructure, and CI systems. System/Critical thinking and a big picture mentality are important.
