ABOUT THE ROLE:

This opportunity is to join Gillette’s Process and Engineering Department as an intern in the Industrial Data & Analytics team. In this role you will drive process and equipment technology innovations for worldwide manufacturing sites to accelerate speed-to-market, and reach the best in class efficiency and quality targets for billion-dollar products like Gillette Fusion and Venus.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Implementing Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), Edge/Cloud Computing, Virtual Reality, Internet of Things (IoT) in Gillette processes and equipment.
  • Delivering data engineering, data visualizations, or machine learning algorithms by owning Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or ML Engineer roles based on the project requirements.
  • Combining strong technical skills with a logical problem-solving approach to deliver smart, creative, best-value solutions.
  • Considering P&G’s Ambition 2030 Sustainability goals in driving end solutions: 50% less virgin plastic, 100% recyclable packaging, 30% less energy consumption within manufacturing sites.
  • Defining the strategy and clearly communicating the status, schedule, and risks of your projects.
  • Collaborating with global multi-functional project teams to ensure on-time delivery, within budget and meeting quality and performance targets.
  • Participating in risk assessments and the application of internal and external standards to deliver best in class cyber security, quality, and performance.

What to Expect:

We offer 3 – 6 months internship placements with a potential start date between April and July 2023 at our Reading Innovation Centre.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

  • Studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • In the penultimate or final year of your degree.
  • Preferred Experience with any of the following Analytical Tools/Applications:
  • Big Data Ecosystem: SQL, Azure Databricks.
  • Scientific Computing: Python, C++, Java.
  • Deep Learning frameworks: Tensorflow.
  • Data Management Systems: IoT Edge/Cloud architecture.
  • Business Intelligence tools: such as KNIME, Power BI.
  • Software development environment: GitHub, Azure DevOps.
