About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Systems Manager to join our team to work in Coleshill, Birmingham.

Role Purpose:

The Finance Systems Manager will communicate all development related finance systems and application and will ensure smooth day-to-day running of the finance activities and accurate date reporting.

What you'll be doing

  • Act as SME for all finance related systems (ERP, time attendance recording systems, etc.) in place and to be implemented, including liaison with BB UK Businesses, Shared Service Centre and the Joint Venture
  • Identify and promote finance systems solutions and process to support end users and meet business requirements.
  • Act as Project Manager with all stakeholders at every step of the development & implementation. To include

- production of business requirement documents and other appropriate project documentation,

- Business User Acceptance testing of changes for the development of BAU activities and system enhancements,

- Provide Training & Early Life Support for the businesses post go-live

  • Primary point of contact for critical issues on finance systems and coordinate with internal & external providers (if needed) for prompt issue resolution
  • Provide Business support to produce Business Intelligence dashboards, using Oracle BI EE & Power BI
  • Perform data reconciliation analysis tasks as required and directed by the Finance Director
  • Be proactive in identifying weak signals and leading indicators of potential issues on the project.

Who we're looking for

  • Finance background, qualified accountant or qualified by experience (>5 years post-qualification)
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. R11, R12, SAP)
  • Relevant experience gained within a contracting/projects environment is preferable but not essential.
  • Experience of both building and supporting high performing teams, with a willingness to embrace and drive best practice.
  • Capacity to adapt to evolving priorities
  • Capacity to adapt to different audience (JV Internal & External, technical expert and JV Management)
