What you'll be doing

As a Quality Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Ensuring ISO 9001 and supplementary project specific requirements are incorporated into the project quality management system
  • Ensuring sufficient suitably qualified and experienced personnel are in place to perform the effective implementation of the project quality management system
  • Ensuring project plans for delivering Products and Services right first time that meet requirements every time, support Built to Last and drive Defect Free Delivery, the Elimination of Waste and reduce the Cost of Quality;
  • Ensuring project specifications, drawings and other technical documents are incorporated into project quality management system control documents such as Inspection and Test Plans
  • Ensuring Business Management System, Gated Life Cycle and other governance control processes are followed and implemented
  • Ensuring an effective project audit plan is in place and all actions that may arise from audits are closed out without any impact to project programme commitments and ensuring audit actions are assessed for trends and actions put in place to prevent reoccurrence
  • Ensuring supply chain Quality Management arrangements are in place that satisfy project quality requirements e.g. ensuring quality grading requirements are incorporated into sub-contract orders and these are effectively administered into the delivery of the works
  • Monitoring and reporting project performance relating to Quality and agree (and monitor) management actions to drive performance improvements

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

  • Quality subject matter expertise and a proven track record in Quality Management
  • The ability to provide Quality leadership and experience managing a team
  • Confidence in working with Senior Management and able to challenge existing ways of working to support business improvement
  • The ability to build strong relationships with delivery teams and project managers
  • A formal qualification in Quality Management e.g. Diploma in Quality Management (UK Chartered Quality Institute, British Standards Institute or equivalent)
  • A self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function and is able to work within a multi-discipline team
