This role will provide a range of advisory and analytical services to the Asset Improvement Programme.

You will be driving good practice, data culture, behaviours, and effective governance of asset data to support long-term asset management, inform our maintenance activities and fulfil data obligations.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist with the comprehensive review of existing asset data management through gap analysis.
  • Support in the monitoring of the movement of asset data between asset management systems, including CPS and National Highways systems to ensure quality, correctness, and compliance with contractual data standards.
  • Design and develop performance metrics linked to data quality and provide ongoing policing and governance of Asset Management Office (AMO) processes.
  • Support in the implementation and ongoing facilitation of data governance and improvement groups.
  • Proactively establish relationships and dialogue with colleagues at all levels of the organisation and its stakeholders and when applicable, provide support to AMO Management Team with regards to Freedom of Information Requests (FOI) and external reporting.

Who we're looking for

Qualifications/ skills/ experience

  • Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel
  • Experience of Infrastructure Asset Management and Design Build, Finance and Operate contracts (preferred)
  • An understanding of LEAN principles and toolsets
  • Familiar with the concept of Key Performance Indicators
  • A general Understanding and exposure to real time Asset databases.
  • Willingness to apply skills to new and evolving Asset Management Systems and Tools

  • Capable communicator and active team member.
  • Methodical and structured approach working individually or as part of a team
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships within internal teams, National Highways, and other relevant key stakeholders
