About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our team to work in Coleshill, Birmingham.

Role Purpose:

Supporting the development of integrated reporting across the project teams by providing advice and guidance to local reporting users, working with our data lake team on both PowerBI and associated technologies to ensure that we get the best value out of our integrated data environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Support BBV Data Model, including process and procedures for onward management and communication to the project team.
  • Resolving/directing issues logged with our central helpdesk regarding PowerBI
  • Map chosen and delivered systems to the data model.
  • Managing the model and interfaces into other systems "Common Coding"
  • Support processes in place for data lake ingestions and common coding feeds
  • Power platform and similar tools to support master data management and reporting solutions

Who we're looking for

  • Database development (SQL)
  • Application architecture and reporting from underlying databases or APIs
  • Able to influence and negotiate
  • Ability to present reports and information in a variety of ways
  • Experience of gathering user requirements and producing appropriate documentation/specifications
