Your road to success

As Athlon moves into a more and more electrified asset portfolio the need from operational procurement perspective grows. We explore new scale positions and opportunities to serve our customers better in the future. In addition, as our new Fuel positions will consist every year more out of KWh or alternative fuels like hydrogen, Athlon needs to step into this market to find out how to deliver scale advantages on hardware, services and energy.

As this is a complete new supplier landscape for us, also from (network) knowledge & dynamics perspective, it is quite necessary to speed up in bringing in the market knowledge into Athlons procurement organization to translate outside energy developments into new concrete Athlon customer solutions and create finally scale advantages beneficial at the end of the day for Athlon and their clients. You contribute to this as a Strategic EV Services and Energy Buyer with full focus on:

  • aligning the business requirements with the markets/countries and take the lead in setting and International joined procurement strategy for all mentioned categories
  • connecting Athlon with new international and or multi country local networks/suppliers related to New EV/Hybrid powertrains in order to achieve scale advantages via new contracts and excellent services to our customers on: energy/supplies/load infrastructures, new E-mobility Services, EV related specific hardware like chargers and cable and fuel/EV hybrid cards.
  • connect with Mercedes initiatives to seek synergy and benefits for Athlon
  • creating the possibility to extend our value chain from energy buyer to energy supplier/scale distributor to our clients in order take positions and create the opportunity to supply stable, seamless energy supply for stable & reasonable pricing for our customers.
  • aligning and concluding with sales and product development which services and products need to be developed in order of customer priority and commercial impact.
  • explore EV/related Energy markets for possible collaboration and opportunities
  • contract international and multi country EV/Service/energy suppliers for mid and long term.

You will strengthen the car related procurement. This team consists of 2 colleagues. The team is split between cars and aftersales services. You will report to the international procurement manager aftersales. Among other things, we focus on bringing in excellent cars at the best conditions or creating a steady income stream on repair and maintenance. From arranging deals with suppliers to setting up tenders. And that within an organization that is constantly on the move. Standing still is going backwards, so we embrace all new ideas. Everyone is closely involved. Our working atmosphere can be described as committed and accessible with an open culture where we laugh a lot with each other. We regularly keep contact with each other.

  • at least bachelor work and thinking level.
  • 1-3 years of experience and knowledge in EV, powertrain and energy Market.
  • knowledge of energy distribution and chain dynamics.
  • procurement experience on international level is a preference.
  • you are fluent in English.

  • gross yearly salary up to € 82.110,49,- (including holiday allowance and 13th month).
  • employee budget of € 873,68,- gross per month (this is used, for example, for a mobility scheme, extra salary, extra leave days or pension investment).
  • contribution-free pension.
  • potential bonus of 10% (the bonus is 100% based on Mercedes-Benz company targets).
