Who we're looking for:

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer who will take a central role in developing electronic solutions for EVBox’s charging stations, ensuring they are best-in-class and ready for large-scale rollouts. As part of the System Engineering team, you will act as the Electronic Development responsible in a multidisciplinary engineering projects.

As a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer, you will join the team of System Engineering and report to the System Engineering Manager. You will work intensively with the Embedded Software Engineering, Test Engineering, Industrialization Engineering and Project Management teams.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Derive electronics design specifications from system requirements
  • Define electronics design concepts, perform trade-off studies, estimate implementation effort and align with stakeholders
  • Lead outsourced electronics design, validation and manufacturing activities
  • Define electronics architecture, choose key components and interfaces
  • Drive electronics design reviews, collect feedback and continuously improve
  • Establish electronics integration/testing strategy, create test plans, assist building the test setups, collect and analyze results
  • Lead problem solving during electronics integration/testing and assist in system integration/testing
  • Assist the industrialization team to detail out the electronics DFM/DFT and definition of electronics production tests
  • Participate in change management activities during the entire life-cyle of the products
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage electronic component shortages, assess and validate alternative components

Knowledge and Experiences

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electronics and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electronic design engineer working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with Analog, Digital, Power Electronics and manufacturing, knowledge in Thermal design, Cabling design and manufacturing
  • Experience with microcontrollers and knowledge in Embedded Software design
  • Experience in design according to EMC, Electrical Safety and Radio standards
  • Experience in design for testing and design for manufacturing
  • Experience in using standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.) for verification testing and problem solving
  • Experience in using circuit simulation tools (Pspice, LTspice etc)
  • Experience with PCBA CAD design tools (OrCAD, Mentor, Altium, etc)
  • Experienced in writing technical documentation

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with embedded software design (C, C++)
  • Experience with Linux and Python
  • Experience with Agile processes
  • Experience in the EV industry or automotive industry
