As a market leader in the energy trading industry, we are naturally passionate about our software. Our teams are brilliant and know how to build great technology products, but like most teams they need support and coaching to help them move into the next level.

Whilst our software practices are fairly mature, there is still plenty of room to improve.

We are looking for a person who lives and breathes agile values, has an agile mindset, and loves to help teams focus on delivering high quality outcomes. That’s the bedrock.

But really, that’s just the start. We also need you to help grow the team into a highly performing team. Whatever it takes. Interested?

Role and Accountabilities

Delivery - in collaboration with the agile coach (where appropriate), establish and maintain appropriate project team coordination and planning mechanisms enabling E2E delivery.

  • Delivery ownership - Own the project or programme’s delivery plan, visualise it, and radiate information for the team and stakeholders to ensure transparency.
  • Team Culture - building high performing teams based on continuous delivery by creating a collaborative, innovative and efficient working culture.
  • Scope - Agreeing and documenting project scope, constraints and key delivery milestones
  • Planning / Forecasting - ensure both time and cost forecasts are accurate and up to date, taking into consideration known dependencies, constraints, key dates, estimation methodology and team metrics. E2E Plans should then be shared with the appropriate stakeholders via existing mechanisms such as rolling roadmap reviews if applicable.

People - work with the teams to understand the method by which they will work within the project team - named resources, capacity allocation, or ad hoc.

Dependency Management - Identify, visualise, actively manage and seek to eliminate dependencies across teams

  • Risks / Issues - Manage the identification, tracking, and mitigation/response of delivery related risks and issues including escalation where required.
  • Stakeholders - act as the main point of contact for the project in terms of agreed scope, plans, progress, most importantly outcome realisation.
  • Communication - Prepare and distribute stakeholder communication regarding the status, timelines and/or cost of the delivery in agreement with the cluster’s project leads (principal(s), product owner, and team lead) and
  • facilitate PMO reporting.
  • Outcome realisation - Engage the team in working towards shared goals and timelines
  • Discuss, agree OKRs, collaborate with team members to build plans to achieve goals and monitor progress towards their realisation. Based on progress towards OKRs, take corrective action where needed.
  • Continuous Improvements - continuously evaluate and seek improvement /greater efficiency to support successful delivery of the project
  • Seek improvements on all of the areas of responsibility and accountability listed above.

Team Culture - building high performing teams based on continuous delivery by creating a collaborative, innovative and efficient working culture

  • Focus team members - Engage the team in working towards shared goals and timelines
  • Continuous improvement - Alongside the associated Agile coach, where applicable, use various tools and techniques to identify and drive improvements to predictability, productivity, quality and responsiveness.
  • Data management - Use appropriate metrics, such as throughput and cycle time, and data sources, such as timesheet submissions, to track and forecast delivery, manage expectations and highlight inefficiencies in ways of working.
