A look into the role

As the Marketing Automation Manager, you will take ownership of the Marketo instance across the firm. The firm is looking for someone who can take responsibility of the automation system, drive adoption of the platform and be influential in how Marketo syncs with the CRM. With a strong understanding of marketing technology and best practices, you'll help turn business requirements into reality, so all teams have the technology and insights they need to continuously improve customer acquisition and customer experience.

As a Marketing Automation Manager within our Digital team, you will:

  • Own and drive our strategy for marketing automation working closely with marketing and business development teams to deliver outstanding digital client experiences and maximum value over time
  • Understand how to realise / maximise investment in the Adobe Marketo Engage platform
  • Build knowledge across Markets and Clients team of best practice in lead lifecycle management to drive effectiveness and efficiency / Deliver lead lifecycle and lead scoring project aligned to business personas
  • Create and manage successful lead generation/nurturing campaigns based on firm and market insights to ensure conversion targets are achieved
  • Working with and managing external agency partners to deliver best-in-class digital marketing experiences
  • Set out longer-term vision for email marketing as well as developing a strategy and roadmap to deliver the vision
  • Drive a rigorous UX test and learn approach to measure and understand the impact of campaigns and to scale up where necessary
  • Having a strong analytics focus with the ability to support measurement and report on performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) ensuring best practice Marketo architecture in place
  • Work closely with the Head of Digital Marketing to drive the awareness, adoption, and engagement around marketing automation in marketing and business development as well as the wider firm with a strong focus on influencing senior leadership and effective stakeholder management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, and develop strong partnerships across marketing, business development, IT, data & CRM teams, and senior leadership to influence and effect change

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as a Marketing Automation Manager the minimum criteria you’ll need is a university degree, or relevant qualification e.g., Adobe Marketo Engage Certification. Previous demonstratable experience in B2B digital marketing and proven success stories using a marketing automation platform (specifically, Abode Marketo Engage). A highly proactive, progressive, and analytical mindset and have outstanding written, oral, and organisational abilities. Experience and knowledge of CRM (ideally MS Dynamics) best practice.

It would be great if you had some of the following skills but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Experience in marketing technology and operations focusing on execution of marketing campaigns on behalf of the client
  • Solid technical expertise in one or more marketing automation tools (Marketo preferably)
  • Proven hands-on experience in driving marketing automation strategy, roadmap, and best practices
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript coding experience or Velocity scripting
  • Building and maintaining reports in Marketo
  • Architectural best practice and program builds
  • Experiencing in orchestrating the connection in to different MarTech platforms and reporting suites (preferably Power BI)
  • Any digital and social media advertising experience
