Overview

We are looking for Junior Data Analytics consultants to join our growing Data Analytics & AI practice. This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting, growing team but with the backing of a much larger and more established business. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting and innovative projects, all whilst playing an integral role in growing our data practice.

Who are we?

We set out to build the world’s most trusted consulting firm – creating lasting impact for clients and pioneering a positive, people-first way of working. We work with everyone from FTSE 100 names to bright new start-ups, in every sector.

You’ll find us collaborating shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, from the big picture right down to the detail: helping them define their strategy, deliver complex change, spot the right commercial opportunities, manage risk or bring their purpose and sustainability goals to life. Our clients love how we get to know what makes their businesses tick – slotting seamlessly into their teams and being proudly geeky about solving their challenges.

Baringa believe that diversity is paramount to driving creativity, innovation, and value for our clients and for our people, and creating an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging is central to our culture.

Our Data Analytics & AI team really likes helping our clients solve their complex problems with data, by implementing controls and governance of data, creating actionable insights, embedding machine learning solutions or building data platforms. We bring the right team and skills on the table and can offer deep expertise across Data Strategy, Data Science & Engineering, Data Visualisation, Data Management, Data Architecture and Software Development.

  • Delivered a modern cloud-based analytics platform to empower traders in a multi-national energy trading firm make more informed decision based on data
  • Text analytics to understand and target customer experience pain points for a global insurer

“I have been working with a large bank to build a new data quality management tool. This tool aims to provide a centralised view on data quality within the business and allow control over data quality rules. Building out the application in collaboration with the intended users, based on an architecture I helped design, has been greatly satisfying. I have been using Python to transform required data, which will be pulled from multiple sources, as well as helping to build out a frontend React application to visualise the data and provide required functionality relating to the data quality rules.” – Daniel G., Analyst

What we're looking for?

  • We are hiring highly motivated and talented individuals who want to help clients realise the promise of their data, bring it to life through analytics and draw out insights which shape how they transform their business. These are some example skills of what we are after:
  • A passion for solving complex problems across the data landscape, from making data available for rapid analysis to delivering deep business insight
  • Working with databases e.g. SQL to extract, transform, load, and integrate data
  • Combining, manipulating, and processing data from disconnected datasets
  • Analysing data and drawing out insights to solve business problems
  • Bringing data to life through the ability to articulate findings in an engaging way
  • Using data visualisation tools such as Qlik View/Sense, Tableau, Power BI or similar
