We have an exciting opportunity for a BMS Project Manager to join our dedicated, highly experienced team to work on major complex construction and infrastructure projects.

What will the role look like?

  • Responsibility for the pre-construction, construction & commissioning phases of specialist Building Management Systems and Controls on major flagship projects.
  • Taking the project from handover through design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and soft landing period of the BEMS package.
  • Creating point schedules, and functional descriptions based off building services drawings and specifications.
  • Managing and procuring equipment and sub-contractor packages, as well as planning and overseeing all commissioning activities and issuing documentation.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget to a satisfied customer, updating and reporting progress weekly with any dependencies documented and mitigation procedure put in place to avoid any potential delays.
  • Responsibility for the commercial performance of the project including the preparation and submission of variations, and agreement of the same.
  • Overall responsibility for health and safety management on all managed projects.
  • Managing and agreeing the appropriate purchase and sub-contract orders as required on the projects, manage and review applications for payments and applied for variations of any placed sub contract orders. Ensuring that all outgoing procurement order's are being placed in a timely manor in order to not potentially cause any risk of delay to the project. All procurement to be documented and reported.
  • Working in a high pressure and fast-moving environment.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Proven track record of project management in the construction industry with experience in BEMS and controls systems, M&E etc.
  • Experience in producing and managing a programme of works
  • Significant experience working to budgets of £0.5m - £5m
  • Experience of Honeywell Trend systems
  • Experience of managing health and safety in a construction environment
  • Valid CSCS or ECS site card
