The energy transition is in full swing and Eneco is leading the way. Our goal? To be fully climate-neutral by 2035. This applies to our own business activities, but also to the energy we supply to our customers. For example, we develop wind and solar parks ourselves, and we help customers take sustainable steps every day with smart products and good advice. Now that we are part of Mitsubishi Corporation (MC), our impact has increased and we are accelerating the transition. We can really use your expertise for this. Treasury aims to achieve an adequate and optimal (project) financing structure for Eneco to fund its projects at the lowest cost, acceptable risk and optimal return for the business.
The treasury department is responsible for arranging adequate financing of Eneco Group's business activities and investments & projects. But also in managing risks in terms of interest rate, currency, liquidity, maturity risks and managing Eneco Group's credit rating.
The main areas of work of the treasury department are corporate finance, project finance & structuring, cash management and credit rating.
You will become part of the Treasury corporate & project finance team, where your focus will be on project structuring of new offshore wind farm tenders, and financing of onshore wind & solar farms. As part of the team, you will also be involved in other areas such as corporate finance and credit rating (as backup) in order to strengthen the team in its entirety.
The primary focus of the position is to support the renewable energy project teams with respect to all Treasury related activities. For large (offshore) projects this means being involved at an early stage in setting up partnerships, advising the business on project structuring, guarantee structures, and contracting in order to realize a 'bankable' project. In smaller projects with local partners this means independently realizing project financing.
Your daily activities are internal and external communication, analysis, structuring, modeling (in collaboration with Investment Analysis), preparing/verifying documentation (in collaboration with Legal), closing and executing the transaction (financial close).
In this role you are responsible for the financing in the broadest sense and you will have intensive contact with internal stakeholders (including Executive Board/Senior Management, business and professional disciplines) as well as external stakeholders (including project teams, banks, debt providers, regulators, advisors).
You don't shy away from challenges but seek them out. You like to master complex financial management cases. You have an eye for the business interests within a changing organization and you like to look for cooperation with the business. You have integrity and take responsibility.
And on top of that, you bring the following with you:
As a Treasury Advisor, you will strengthen the Treasury department. Treasury manages, controls and monitors the financial positions of Eneco, such as loans, financial flows and the associated risks. And not only that: Treasury also focuses on the optimization of these financial positions and the logistics of money flows. This is a challenge that eight professionals in the team- together with you nine - tackle with both hands, professionally and with enthusiasm. This open and direct team is known for its Rotterdam 'can do' mentality.
