We are looking for experienced Data Scientists / Data Analytics Consultants to deliver large, complex client engagements including analytics strategy and transformation, through to advanced data science, RPA and Intelligent Automation, Graph analytics, NLP, OCR and Data Visualization. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an innovative team to apply state-of-the-art analytics to real world business challenges.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on many exciting projects enabling our clients to positively change their businesses and enhance their performance. The successful candidates will;

  • Combine different tools and technologies to develop end to end analytical solutions that address our clients’ business challenges
  • Apply predictive analytics, statistical modelling and machine learning/deep learning techniques for recommender systems, financial crime applications, risk analytics, text analytics and pricing analytics
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and experts in order to develop new concepts & innovative tools to support the evolving data landscape
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of RPA, NLP and Machine Learning, architecture and languages
  • Work as part of a diverse team within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

The candidate will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business savvy, outcome focused business entrepreneur who is driven to making an impact, determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status-quo.

The successful candidate will be a problem solver, and a data expert with hands on experience of data analytics gained at a leading Advisory firm. Additional requirements include;

  • Strong academic record including a degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, engineering, physics, statistics, or applied mathematics
  • Experience in Relational Databases/SQL, including working with large datasets
  • Programming skills in at least one of the following languages: R, Python, VBA
  • Experience automating processes using Python or other tools
  • Experience in Tableau or other data visualisation tools: eg Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both colleagues and clients
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Autonomous – Alvarez & Marsal has a flat structure with a self-sufficient culture
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills when working with both business and technical teams

Highly desirable:

  • Experience with predictive modelling, machine learning and AI techniques
  • Experience with RPA, OCR and web scraping
  • Fast learner, eager to learn new technologies.
  • Fluency in one or more European languages, in addition to English, is desirable although not essential
