Transport is part of Lloyds Banking Group and provides vehicle solutions via our brands of Black Horse and Lex Autolease. Lex Autolease is the UK's largest vehicle leasing and fleet management company, offering a wide range of products and services to businesses and consumers.

The team

The Jaguar Land Rover Financial Services (JLR FS) Team develops and nurtures our partnership with Jaguar Land Rover UK (JLR) to provide vehicle funding solutions for their retail and fleet customers. We aim to build this partnership by developing deep and mutually beneficial relationships and providing compelling propositions and excellent customer service.

Location & Ways of working

Our team is geographically spread all over the UK, and we work predominately from home. Our preference is that you're based a commutable distance from one of our key hubs such as Edinburgh, Leeds, Halifax, Cardiff, Bristol, Chester and London.

The role

In this senior role you'll be passionate about developing the longer-term strategic elements of our partnership with JLR. This will be in the design of our partnership, the routes to market and the propositions within key market segments. You'll work effectively with both senior colleagues and teams across the breadth of Transport, particularly Distribution, Operations, Risk, Finance, Customer Service, Customer Proposition and Sustainability. Delivering strongly in this role will materially influence the position of JLR FS within the market.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll be responsible for forming strategic plans with the following key accountabilities:

  • Delivering business change plan in collaboration with JLR for all aspects of JLR FS activities
  • Align with Digital and Proposition teams to ensure that change plans are delivered on time and to JLR requirements
  • Customer journey designs (incl. required digital interfaces and automation requirements)
  • Appropriate Wholesale and Retail funding propositions and products for all channels
  • Asset lifecycle management of JLR products to maximise value all partners
  • Customer renewal activity within customer journey plans that support Customer, Retailer, JLR and Transport requirements
  • Training department alignment for future skills training across internal teams and Retailer roles
  • Constantly monitor the OEM and Captive finance market landscape for awareness of latest trends on routes to market and proposition activity across all channels
  • Align and support Customer Services planning for any operational changes resulting from strategic shifts in wholesale or retail approaches
  • Actively embracing a risk culture to protect customers in accordance with the Group standards, behaviours and ethics

What you can bring to the role:

Essential:

  • Must have extensive knowledge of both motor finance and leasing as well as a deep understanding of the UK motor market and manufacturer landscape.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with key partners and influence effectively from strategy through to delivery.
  • Build strong, credible relationships throughout Transport and the wider LBG organisation.
  • Act as a strong contributor within the JLR FS Management team.
  • Be seen as an active partnership contributor by the JLR Management team.
  • Must have a strong and up to date knowledge of regulatory and legislative landscape

Desirable:

  • Understanding of Strategy, Project Management, Risk and Finance to drive commercial and customer centric outcomes
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
