Job Description:

The Lead–Healthcare Systems Security leads a team responsible for security administration (user provisioning process, role management and related controls). Additionally, this position is responsible for compliance with healthcare-related regulatory requirements and leading access control & segregation of duty (SOD) compliance efforts. This Lead will make recommendations and assists in the implementation of changes to work methods and procedures to make them more effective or to strengthen security and compliance measures. This position facilitates collaboration with other functions to identify security and business solutions. He/She guides and trains colleagues to increase skill sets and knowledge. This position leads work functions to ensure appropriate resource allocation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 3-5 persons. Reports to Manager, Security & Compliance
  • Provide expertise on matters related to application security policy, security implementation, and access control for the internally and externally hosted applications.
  • Provide leadership for remediation of control deficiencies, noncompliance reports (NCRs) and Audit Improvement Plans (AIPs) related to healthcare user access
  • Assess and coordinate application security activities as per Standard Practice Manual and Information Security and Privacy Manual
  • Specific activities will include security architecture review, user provisioning and administration; segregation of duties analysis, , user access reviews, and annual Sarbanes-Oxley audit risk analysis reporting and remediation activities
  • Specific activities will include approval of changes to healthcare validated applications, ensuring all changes into the production environment follow UPS policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and implement changes for existing/new application as per GDPR and HIPAA requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Information Security Controls and Platform Security Administration/Analysis (SAP)
  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Regulatory Compliance and Security Risk Assessment/Analysis
  • 5+ years of applicable experience working in a change management, audit, or security/compliance-related role
  • Bachelors and/or master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Microsoft Office advanced knowledge.

Skills:

  • Ability to respond to manager, peers, clients, and other teams in a proactive, constructive and collaborative manner
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Technical/ application security design affinity
  • Effective communication skills (ability to communicate complex information to various audiences both verbally and in writing)
  • Strong analytical skills (ability to analyze security and compliance requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls)

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification(s) in security preferred (ITIL, CISM, CISA, CISSP)
