As MRP Controller, working in a team within our Dynamic Composite Components department you will further develop your skills, experience and knowledge in order to monitor and influence key MRP system constraints and processes.

You will be the technical owner of a specific range of MRP functions and have the authority to make key decisions and execute SAP system changes. You will also be expected to provide a good level of technical and material expertise in support of MRP and manufacturing processes.

What you will do

  • Monitor and maintain material master base data
  • Processing of purchase orders for range managed parts and offload orders
  • Co-ordinate planned order review for in house and offload manufacture
  • Co-ordination of Repair & Overhaul activities including customer forecasts
  • Review Purchase Requisitions levels, status and cause code analysis
  • Procurement of materials in line with the inter company trading rules
  • Report and action Quality Notifications
  • Co-ordination of the on loan system to provide assets to test rig and Aircraft programmes.
  • Running of MRP reporting tools and subsequent validation/correction
  • Reporting on material priorities for review the Material Supply Management team
  • Provide technical support on processes and help to train new starters within MRP
  • Review and report on progress and status of work to provide clear statements of position, issues and actions.
  • Co-ordinate kits and shop support to onsite and offsite modification and repair embodiments
  • Provide input and knowledge to support Business Improvement initiatives

What we are looking for

  • Educated to or working towards an HNC Engineering level qualification or equivalent level in a Business discipline (or comparable experience in MRP)
  • Knowledge of assembly and/or manufacturing techniques in a Manufacturing or Operations environment combined with good product knowledge
  • Team worker who is customer focused
  • Good communicator
  • Flexible and conscientious approach
  • Ability to prioritise and delegate workload in a supervisory capacity
  • Proven background in effective problem solving techniques
  • Desirable attitude and behaviour
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system
  • Computer literate
