RSM is a leading professional services firm with over 4,000 staff and over 30 offices in the UK. As part of ongoing investment in RSM’s IT and digital capabilities, we embarked on a strategic internal programme to create a differentiated client experience through the introduction of a new digital platform and over the course of this year will be delivering the platform to our clients and people. As we move from the initial deployment, we are looking for an experienced Digital Product Manager who will take overall ownership of the platform and its ongoing development. You will be responsible for working with senior business and technology stakeholders across the firm, managing competing business priorities to balance the strategic direction of the platform with tactical enhancements. You will guide an agile development team and oversee a support team, with support and sponsorship right from the top of the firm.

Role description

The Digital Product Manager will:

  • Report to the CDO / Head of Technology Delivery, yYou will own, drive and lead the product strategy and long term vision for our digital client platform
  • Collaborate with lines of business, technology business partners, agile development teams and third parties including our digital agency to build and maintain a product roadmap
  • Analyse customer journeys, business pain points and processes, gather requirements and define/design a solution to successfully address those needs
  • Plan and prioritise the feature enhancements and sprint backlog for the platform through discussions across our service lines on their current and future needs from the platform, as well as incorporating client feedback
  • Guide the agile development team to ensure delivery of the product roadmap in a timely and efficiency manner that maximises the benefits of the product to RSM and our clients
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for new features that will continue to provide RSM with a competitive advantage
  • Work with our marketing and comms teams to promote the digital client platform externally to assist with winning new work and internally to increase adoption and use of the platform
  • Identify and monitor the product performance and incorporate learnings from support incidents to deliver continued product enhancement and improvements
  • Oversee a small technical support team working on the platform and monitor support service levels

Minimum Qualifications

Essential skills

  • Substantial (more than three years) experience of leading digital projects and/or managing digital products and working with agile development teams
  • Knowledge of the professional services industry and how it engages with business clients
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, and ability to influence and lead senior stakeholders across multiple business disciplines
  • Experience of working with the business to gather and prioritise business requirements for a digital product, and of translating these into features that can be implemented by the digital agency and development teams
  • A hands-on approach, and ability/appetite to “roll sleeves up” in addition to direction-setting and senior engagement
  • Experience of working with design agencies and / or understanding of UX / UI design to create premium client-focused user experience
  • Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems
