We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join us in building the machine learning backend that powers WAIR, our intelligent solution suite for challenges in the retail branch.
You will be joining a small, young, and ambitious product team, at a pivotal moment of transitioning from a startup phase to a scaleup phase. In order to scale fast and deliver value for our clients and users, we love to welcome your machine learning skills and ambition.
We provide our clients a variety of services, mainly focused on the Time-series and Computer vision domains. You will work on improving and scaling our ML models, microservices, and pipelines with customer-specific use cases in mind.
Examples of tasks you will be faced with include building out an image embedding microservice, optimizing the throughput of our sales-forecasting pipeline, or investigating whether weakly supervised methods are applicable for customers operating in low data regimes. We ask for
- 3+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer, with experience in computer vision, using NN's and/or OpenCV
- Excellent skills in

- A relevant completed higher education
- Scalable, reusable, readable, reliable, and well-documented code
- An attitude of taking responsibility and ownership

- A sense of humor and a desire to interact with people
Nice to haves
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Previous experience with workflow software like Kubeflow, Airflow or Dagster
- Experience with data-centric AI
- Published a blogpost or scientific paper
- Familiarity with optimized ML runtimes such as TensorRT, Onnx
- Prior experience with Cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
