The purpose of this exciting Solutions Business Developer - Cardiology role is to leading the UKI strategy, planning and execution for solutions to deliver Philips’ cardiology (and potentially other related disciplines) Solutions to the UKI market.

This role will be remote based and will cover customers across the United Kingdom.

You wil be jointly responsible for (with the Solutions CoE Lead) for the overall development of the sales strategy within the UKI market. The Solutions CoE Lead and Solutions Business Developer - Cardiology are jointly accountable for the financial performance of that business. He/She monitors performance, develops, and executes corrective actions when necessary to achieve annual commitments.

Initial focus of this role is on developing and building a funnel to support the Solutions Lead in two main categories

In- Hospital

  • Integrated Cardiovascular Solutions (ICS) and Managed Services for cardiology solutions in-hospital
  • Support delivery of Cardiology suite of solutions

Out-of-Hospital

  • Community Treatment Centres (CTC) – initially focussed on cardiology, but with the potential to move to treatment of other clinical suites

The Solutions CoE Lead and Solutions Business Developer - Cardiology will work together on:

  • Managing business strategies, marketing, sales and commercial partnerships with customers within the UKI
  • Business P&L and delivering on financial performance committed in the annual plan
  • Developing local go-to-market strategies (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning, Portfolio definition, pricing, and promotion) to drive profitable growth (in line with Quality & Regulatory requirements)
  • Demand generation and market segmentation
  • Generating locally relevant insights as input for proposition and roadmap development.
  • Align with modality and district leaders to identify, develop and deliver cardiology solutions
  • Support global Integrated Cardiovascular Solutions team with GTM strategy, solution design and opportunity tracking
  • Align commercial route to market with local market leaders

The Solutions Business Developer - Cardiology is responsible for:

  • Driving business strategy creation and execution for the focus areas in the market
  • The Business / Market planning process for the business in the market and the local execution of the annual plan
  • Leading business model development
  • Developing pricing strategies in line with the commercial policy and UKI frameworks
  • Providing the global business group with local insights about markets, competition, product and application developments
  • Interfacing with the Business Group and Market-To-Order colleagues
  • Funnel and qualification management.
  • The Solutions Business Developer – Cardiology would be expected to:
  • Have a good understanding of B2G (Business to Government) policy within the Department of Health (DoH) and NHS England (NHSE).
  • Understand the NHS financial landscape including procedural tariffs, procurement routes and commercialisation of large-scale projects.
  • Good knowledge of 3rd party cardiology portfolios and complementary services
  • Good understanding of cardiology clinical pathways and referral routes
  • Be confident in translating solution designs to C-suite audience according to the customer needs
  • Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships

You are a part of

This role will report directly to the Solutions CoE Lead, and work directly with the other Solutions Business Developers, as well as cardiology and other solutions teams in Western Europe and globally.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Have a good understanding of B2G policy within the DoH and NHSE

  • Good knowledge of 3rd party cardiology portfolios and complementary services
  • Good understanding of cardiology clinical pathways and referral routes
