Job Description

At Philips we are looking for an Electronics Engineer who will be working within the hardware R&D team of the Emergency Care division of Philips. We are a world leader in medical systems and products.

The role is to utilize your talents to design and develop the electronic hardware of new products as well as working to maintain the existing products. You will be reporting directly to the Electronics Technical Manager.

You will require the following experience:

  • 2+ years of electronic Design including:
  • Analogue circuit design mainly around Op-amps, FETs, SMPs, Linear regulators and Li-ion battery charging.
  • Digital circuit design – WIFI, Ethernet, BLE, GSM, USB (hubs), I2C, SPI and UARTS.
  • Multi-layer PCB design (PCBs will be design by 3rd party)
  • Strong analytical, test and hardware debugging skills
  • Prototype testing and evaluation.
  • Life cycle development for medium volume production
  • Ability to follow our Quality Management System.
  • Maintaining Design History files.

Desired:

  • Experience of Safety approvals
  • Experience of producing assembly and test instructions for production
  • Experience of designing medical equipment.
  • EMC testing and design.
  • Planning and timescale estimate
  • Experience of following a ISO13485 Quality system.

The successful candidate will undergo training on our existing products, IEC60601 & Risk.
