EMEA Talent and Inclusion Consultant

The EMEA Talent and Inclusion Consultant is responsible for the co-development and regional implementation of the Talent and Inclusion Strategy in alignment with global Talent and Inclusion Strategy and EMEA regional business goals and priorities.

This individual collaborates extensively with EMEA leadership team, Human Resources partners at the regional and division level, and functional global COEs to develop, adapt, and participate in talent and inclusion processes, including strategic workforce planning, coaching for outcomes, talent reviews, developmental investments, and inclusion efforts.

Talent Management

  • Co-develop and drive the European implementation the Talent Management strategy based on Divisional Strategic Workforce Plans in collaboration with regional HR, Divisional HR leaders and COEs.
  • Develop robust regional talent management action plans and drive culture change initiatives to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles (alignment with COEs and Divisions)
  • Prepare and execute regional Talent Reviews in partnership with the EMEA leadership team to identify key talent and define actions to accelerate their development (in alignment talent reviews at COE and Division level)
  • Provide support /consultation to the EMEA HR Leadership Team as well as to Country HR Leads in the execution of localized Talent reviews and actions

Coaching for Outcomes

  • Work with managers and leaders to activate ongoing coaching and feedback throughout the region to drive a high-performance culture (i.e., goal setting, mid-year and year-end reviews, relative performance calibration, development planning, feedback culture)
  • Provide support on performance management process to EMEA Leadership Team & HR partners that includes, but is not limited to, training, development and overall communication and awareness and adoption.
  • Coach leaders on complex leadership and HR issues including development, engagement, and talent performance and issues which could have the potential to create a competitive advantage for the business. Provide 1:1 coaching to managers and (competence) leaders, especially as it relates to their needs and the needs of their (competence) teams to learn and grow

Development and Career Management

  • Translates Work Force Planning outcomes into regional development and learning needs and priorities, ensuring consistency with core competencies, critical skills and strategic goals
  • Build talent bench for critical roles in the EMEA organization and pro-actively support the development of Key Talents
  • Leverage, advocate for and monitor global developmental content to ensure and accelerate business goals and talent objectives in the region. Recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Consult with regional leaders and subject matter experts to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions for the region, such as courses, curricula, mobile/ online learning, action learning or related experiences (uses ADDIE Process).
  • Identify and manage appropriate delivery resources for region (in-house, external) and manage relationships appropriately.
  • Deliver/facilitate developmental training programs (classroom, online, mobile, etc.) across the regions
  • Identify, monitor and sustain Leader as Faculty talent pool in EMEA
  • Monitor learning solution effectiveness via systems and processes, measure success and recommend adaptive action as needed.
  • Support EMEA Key Talent Group members on their career progression by conducting regular career conversation, by supporting the design for Individual Development Plans in partnership with HRBP and other leaders
  • Lead global learning and development projects by ensuring project team delivers to project scope, goals, deliverables, communications, milestones in collaboration with stakeholders

Inclusion and Diversity

  • Define and drive efforts on how best to understand the opportunities and progress of our Inclusion & Diversity strategy in the region. Report findings, insights and actions required to accelerate progress.
  • Establish relationships with regional leadership teams to align Inclusion & Diversity philosophy and priorities with the strategic direction of the region's growth and ensure I&D is valued, respected, compelling part of the region's business strategy.
  • Implement Global Inclusion & Diversity programs, adapting as needed for the region including policies and guidelines to attract, retain and advance a highly skilled and talented diverse workforce.
  • Utilize data to develop and drive I&D goals and critical metrics.
  • Improve workplace diversity and inclusive behaviors by effectively collaborating with Eastman Resource Groups, HR partners, business leaders and other relevant teams.
  • Ensure that talent development practices support and contribute to EMN Inclusion & Diversity commitments and provide equal opportunities and access to development and career progression in the region

Profile Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Instructional Design or related field. Ideally 2-3 years of experience in an international environment
  • Consults effectively with clients to understand their needs and design then recommend the appropriate course of action.
  • Ability to influence without authority, with a willingness to influence behavior change leveraging strong change management skills to drive alignment and outcomes across all levels
  • Project management skills.
  • Interacts effectively as a coach or as a member of a team and works collaboratively with other key stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of diversity and inclusion basics
  • The role will be hybrid, however with easy access to one of the main regional hub locations (Rotterdam, Merelbeke, Zug)
