THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and highly creative architect/ designer with a strategic mindset, who will be responsible for development of our store concept and store layouts, to join our Store development team at headquarter in Amsterdam.

In this role you will continue the creation and adaptation of our retail concept, making sure it is aligned with our brand DNA, strategy, and vision. You will work closely with Project managers responsible for execution of the stores, as well as Visual Merchandizing, Operations, Marketing department. You will report directly to Director of Store design and development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evolve and develop our retail concept across all channels (Flagship, SIS, Outlet), aligning with brand DNA and creative direction
  • Elevate and strengthen storytelling across retail consumer touch points.
  • Communicate and present design concepts to various internal stakeholders and departments. Create presentation materials that effectively communicate design intent.
  • Create and maintain the concept bible and furniture catalogue.
  • Manage supplier briefings, sampling process, and implementation of creative development
  • Develop layout proposals for stores across all channels, identify store zoning and allocation of fixtures to enhance the store appearance, experience and optimize productivity and profitability.
  • Design and develop new furniture based on the brand/ market needs and manage the approval process from coordination with the suppliers, prototypes production, up to final evaluation.
  • Fully understand cost implications of various materials and possibilities for value engineering.
  • Coordinate creative development with external architecture and creative studios.
  • Lead post- project analysis and discussions; identify opportunities and strive for continuous design improvement.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • In depth knowledge of retail store and interior design, retail industry.
  • Must have a working experience in a brand environment or at a design agency.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Degree in Architecture/ Interior design. Technical knowledge required.
  • Technical skills and ability for project development in AutoCAD, and preferably in 3D (modeling/ rendering)
  • Must have proven working knowledge of both architectural and interior design disciplines, as well as knowledge about materials, finishes and construction details.
  • A good balance between creative, technical, and analytical thinking. The ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks.
  • Results oriented person with a strong focus on high quality delivery.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast paced international environment.
  • Self- starter, proactive with strong initiative and “Can Do” approach.
  • Collaborative, positive and reliable.
  • Flexible and agile.
  • Proficiency in English.
