JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Provide key support in the collection development of the Karl Lagerfeld Women’s and Men’s Bodywear (sleep, underwear and activewear) and Swimwear lines. You will be closely working together with the Design Bodywear and Swimwear team and the Product development team completing daily tasks such as design research and up-dating Design and product overviews, trim artworks and technical sketches.

SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor degree in fashion course eg. Fashion contour
  • Language: fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Distinctive product and colour taste level
  • Good to excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop is a necessity
  • CLO 3D knowledge is a bonus
  • Interest in technical/close to body design

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design Research
  • Creating Tech packs and artworks to support the Design Team
  • Creating/updating Technical Sketches
  • Working on Seasonal Overviews/Range plans/Colour boards/Fabric boards under the guidance of the Design Team.
  • Ensuring all Seasonal files & Mood boards are kept up-to-date.
  • Preparing fitting sessions and organizing/recording relevant information
  • Generally supporting the Design Team and helping to keep the office orderly at all times
  • Organizing and maintaining fabric library, and sample archive

  • Has a strong eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Researching – art based and fashion based reference
  • Be up to date with latest trends and design.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a positive "can-do" attitude are a must
  • Strong interest in swimwear, lingerie, sleepwear and activewear
  • Comfortable working across men’s and women’s product categories
  • Organized, great time management.
