Are you a people person with strong technical skills, who can help us further improve our customer service? Do you agree that to prevent is better than to fix? And would you like to be the driving force behind the continuous improvement of our products and services? Then please join us at SWIFT as our next Technical Support Engineer!

You’ll be providing support on all technical problems within your own area of expertise. Your responsibilities will range from resolving customer queries to diagnosing complex technical problems. You won’t be spending all the time behind your desk, as you also will venture out to customer sites, give product demos and trainings, and participate in service improvement projects within your own area of expertise.

Here are some of the other things you will be doing:

  • Troubleshoot and quickly diagnose problems of various levels of complexity and propose measures to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain client relationships and increase client satisfaction with designated customers by performing regular checks of their operational environment and reviewing customer cases to detect infrastructure problems; provide recommendations for improvement
  • Implement solutions and provide product-related consulting or trainings at customer sites

Your Skills

We’re looking for a young talented support engineer, with 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, including customer interaction and exposure. You have strong technical analytical skills as well as some indispensable soft skills such as being communicative, a team player, excited to work in a multicultural environment.

  • You hold a university degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent
  • You have good verbal and written English skills – it helps if you also know French, German, Spanish or Italian
  • You have good knowledge of :
  • Different operating systems (Linux, AIX, Solaris, Windows)
  • TCIP/IP, routers, VPN, firewalls, SSL setup, etc.

These Attributes Are Considered An Asset

  • Knowledge on Oracle databases, MQ series and/or IBM WebSphere
  • Knowledge of SWIFTNet products
