In this role, you will be part of the marketing department and responsible for delivering the long-term pipelines for our brands. All efforts should build on our purpose to make it easier for people to live healthier lives with good food, whilst respecting the planet and everything that lives on it. Together with our other Innovation Manager you will own the local innovation agenda for Arla Biologisch, Melkunie and Breaker. You will have the end-to-end ownership of developing the local long term innovation pipeline. From concept development to product development (in collaboration with NPD) to securing SPRING approval until the handover to the brand owners. You run the entire process.

We are looking for a hands-on & engaging project lead who is a team player and aspires great business results. You know how to transform consumer insights and market opportunities into innovative concepts and/or products and enjoy to work closely with colleagues including brand-, NPD- and category teams. You are expected to engage with various local and international stakeholders to drive development through the innovation process that results in new products on Dutch retail shelves.

Key parts of the job

You will predominantly work for the Yoghurt & Milk categories, where we innovate locally. You will be managing a portfolio of your own projects and drive innovation by developing and delivering the +3-year innovation pipeline and managing innovation projects through consumer, category and customer insight. For the projects assigned to you, you will act as the project lead and manage the multidisciplinary project team and ensure that these projects result in robust business cases leading to impact on profitable growth. The role requires intensive collaboration with other functions, specifically marketing to whom we act as business partners.

Your profile

You have a master’s degree, 4+ years of experience and from your time spent in an FMCG environment, you understand consumer insights and know how to uncover them and have experience in innovation and project management in a multi-functional environment. You can work individually and have a sharing mindset. You’re curious by nature and you’ve always wanted to discover new things and grasp opportunities. You thrive in an organization such as ours, always seizing opportunities, trial and error being part of the road to success. You will have strong skills in both managing people (indirectly) and the ability to navigate projects to a dynamic business environment, asking the right questions and driving simplicity into the communication and execution. You have vision and passion, excel in project management and know how to drive projects through a local as well as a large international system. You have a strong business mind and are able to use crucial marketing and financial levers to drive maximum value for the business.
