With moving to one platform (SAP) in DA it provides the opportunity to get much more insights in the data behind our processes. There are many tools and methodologies on the market to do this. This assignment focusses on what potential these tools and methodologies have for the R&D department in Philips DA.

You are responsible for

  • Identify the capabilities of SAP Signavio (Process Intelligence)
  • Create overview of SDP (Solution Development Process) process steps and the impact process mining can have on each of the process steps
  • Identify the areas which benefit most in the SDP process
  • Investigate the potential of implementing Process Mining, BPA, RPA and IPA in DA R&D (independently if we have the right tooling for it within DA) and the impact each automation tool can have
  • Create high level business case to show if there is potential
  • Create a proposal for an implementation plan:
  • Which methodology to implement first
  • What baseline is needed to implement a next methodology

You are a part of

You are part of the Lean Process Excellence team, that is a central team within the Domestic Appliances R&D organization. The LPE team aims to create and maintaining a solid set of processes and related IT applications, but also to support the improvement of the ways of working at large within R&D.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Student in Business Administration / Industrial Engineering/ Innovation Management or a relevant field of at least 2nd year of studies (preferably master’s degree)
  • Data savvy, digital mindset
  • Great communication skills, eye for details, well organized.
  • Ability to both work effectively in a team and independent
  • Fluent English written and spoken.
