About the Role

As a Business Process Analyst, you will work with business units across Elsevier to support projects that deliver services and solutions. You will take ownership of gathering and analyzing data and information to define current processes and requirements. You will research best practices to identify and document process improvements and functional specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with a diverse range of colleagues and teams including remote cross-functional technical and operational teams in our global business to ensure requirements are being delivered successfully
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to elicit business requirements and translate them into user stories and functional specifications
  • Drive initiatives that significantly improve our efficiency and insight
  • Analyzing, defining and documenting requirements and business processes to create functional user documentation
  • Contributing to the successful development of new tools, processes and solutions to ensure product needs meet quality standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Business Analyst, identifying and delivering improvements that make a difference
  • Have experience in gathering and documenting processes and business requirements and translating them into user stories and functional specifications
  • Experience of process visualization tools, such as Visio and Miro although training will be available.
  • Have a general understanding of software development methodologies, platforms, tools, and languages
  • Have the ability to coordinate business user acceptance testing and facilitate workshops
  • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office products and demonstrate solid IT research, software analysis and design skills
