Amazon is quickly disrupting the retail business. It becomes increasingly challenging to navigate through myriads of business metrics and make decisions at required pace. Ability to derive actionable insight and foresight from data becomes crucial for Vendors to stay competitive on the platform and drive sustainable sales growth.

The Global Amazon team at Philips Domestic Appliances is looking to hire a dedicated Business Insights Manager to enhance our analytics E2E value chain through business knowledge, data analysis and interpretation capabilities. The core remit of this role is to connect deep Amazon retail domain expertise and data to drive actionable business impact.

Your responsibilities

  • Work with business and analytics teams to provide Amazon Daily Management board (DMB) at a regular cadence. Strive to continuously improve DMB insights and actionability
  • Use DMB as a platform to map business questions into corrective actions
  • Understand key drivers and impacts on business growth dynamics on Amazon platform
  • Run regular cadence and ad hoc deep dives, root cause analysis and modeling to come up with business recommendations. Track implementation and business impact
  • Collaborate with analytics team to standardize and automate repeatable analysis data collection and reporting in a form of self-service tools
  • Strive to enhance accuracy of datasets and scale analytics solutions through automation
  • Find new ways to improve our analytics capabilities and prove added business value

Your team

The role sits within the Global Amazon team at Philips Domestic Appliances, and reports to Global Amazon Analytics Lead. The role interacts internally with business stakeholders and analytics experts.

We are looking for someone with

  • Passion for working with different data sets and bringing them together to solve business problems.
  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or Economics
  • 5+ years of experience in Business analytics including Digital and E-commerce. Knowledge of Amazon Brand Analytics datasets is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills. Experience with visualization tools like Tableau/Qlik is a plus.
  • Experience in lean methodology
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-experts
  • Experience in building or defining requirements for Machine Learning predictive/prescriptive analytics solutions is a plus
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python) is a plus
