Over the course of your placement, you can expect to be asked to support:

  • The management and maintenance of the local management system.
  • Reporting to provide visibility of divisional performance against planned objectives.
  • The Business Assurance Programme
  • Business Improvement Projects delivering financial business benefits and process improvement.
  • Other members of the Business Support Team and other areas of our business as required.

Training and Development

You will learn the key business management process required to run a large department within a regulated business. You will be given some formal training in business skills such as improvement methodologies and presentation skills. You will also be given regular on-the-job training to enable you to perform all the tasks undertaken by the team.

Culture

NATS has a very team-oriented culture which thrives on everyone working together and supporting each other. That’s why we work in open plan offices to allow easy interaction, which in turn creates a more relaxed environment. Everyone is friendly, welcoming and always happy to help.

Where might it lead?

In the long-term, this placement can help you towards a role as a graduate business analyst or be suitable if you were looking to specialise in, say, quality management or business improvement.

Who can apply?

You should be working towards a 2:1 in a business-related degree and will need to have good analytical skills. A pragmatic, systematic thinker, who is able to manage some repetitive tasks, you’ll also be a good listener and communicator who is open to new experiences.

Our medical branch will test you for your general health. You will also be security cleared.

How to apply

Although applications for the scheme open in October and close in mid-January, we encourage you to apply as early as possible, as places are limited.

We’ll select you for the next stage on the basis of your initial online application, so please do take the time to sell yourself and answer all the questions to the best of your ability. If you’re successful, we’ll invite you to an assessment centre in December or February.

If you’re successful, you’ll receive your offer by early March before starting in July.
