Junior Project Finance Controller

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will be based in our office in Amsterdam and work in an international team of Finance & Accounting in Amsterdam.

Our Finance & Accounting department is responsible for client finance and provides advice to a diverse group of stakeholders on a varied number of financial topics such as key performance indicators, budget planning, international tax legislations and management information. You work closely with the global services team in Poland. You will collaborate intensively with project controllers and senior leadership from other McKinsey offices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will contribute to firm project economics, finance processes and be an indispensable business partner to project leadership.

In this role, you will manage client budgets and project financials by ensuring accurate cost allocations. You will monitor the time spent on projects as well as other project-related costs (travel, accommodation, etc.). You will oversee that projects are administered in accordance with internal procedures.

You will build long-term business relationships with multiple stakeholders and act as an expert advising consultants on how to think strategically through budget plans and partner up with them on long-term client programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum completed relevant HBO education
• 2+ years of experience in the administration of an (international) corporate organization
• Advanced Excel skills
• Analytical, accurate and solution-oriented
• Ability to thrive in an international working environment
• Proactive attitude and driven by process improvements
• Ability to effectively communicate and problem solve with senior stakeholders
• Written and oral proficiency in corporate Dutch and English
