Endpoint Management Engineer

Den Haag

You will help to build a new IT landscape in NN, completely cloud-based using Microsoft technologies. Together with your team, we take a giant leap forward to bring our (end) users an awesome/slick experience on their devices.

This job offers you a monthly salary of €4700 to €6500, depending on your knowledge and experience. This salary is based on a 40 hour workweek exclusing 13th month and holiday allowance. It is possible to work 32, 36 or 38 hours per week.

Your impact as an Endpoint Management Engineer at NN

This is the place to be if you’d like to get involved with new technologies. We are frontrunners when it comes to Windows 11 for example. You could be a next recognised expert of Microsoft technology, in other words a Most Valuable Professional (MVP). We love you to help you share your knowledge with different technology communities.

We offer you the perfect environment to explore new possibilities in equipment and technologies. So, if you are eager to learn, to try and to do, you’re in the right place.

Together with your colleagues in Workplace Services, you ensure optimal functioning endpoint devices like laptops, tablets and mobile phones. You do this by configuring and maintaining Windows 10 and 11 Operating Systems, MS Office 365, Microsoft MEM and other software products. You have a keen understanding of what an end user wants and needs from their devices.

We have a clear vision on IT for our endpoints: Everyone works on a physical device instead of in a virtual environment. That presents us with complex challenges as the hardware comes in many shapes and sizes. By providing device related services (like provisioning, configuration and security) to local business units that provide the hardware we stay ahead of the game. You will find you will be in contact with the IT organizations of the different NN business units to gather feedback, introduce new features and improve existing services.

We strive to deploy, integrate and update our services in an automated fashion. This requires a level of programming skills to get everything right. Maybe you have the perfect knowledge of, for example, Apple to make that integration run smoothly. Our services enable the NN employees to do their work in a productive and safe way.

Your responsibilities

  • You perform accurate analyses of new (technological) developments and operational issues, from testing and implementing to managing
  • You have a keen eye for service security, as well as for data security
  • You ensure security awareness among your customers, so they are aware of the NN security principles and guidelines. You are familiar with European guidelines for data and privacy legislation

Your colleagues

You will enter an ambitious and dynamic team of 9 people: Windows platform specialist, MEM Experts, and people competent in (A)AD configuration and automation and Apple products. As DevOps Engineers we have a lot of fun and we trust and respect each other. We believe in each other’s competence. We work task oriented (primarily) from home, and we keep in touch using the services we provide ourselves. We all are prepared to jump in and help each other with the occasional menial tasks.

From Managed and Controlled Devices you work very closely with colleagues from the Collaboration Services team to make our services run smoothly, both on the endpoint, as well as the backend services they rely on. Within Workplace Services you work together with different teams, that manage services such as Office 365, VDI Infrastructure and telephony.

NN cultivates a start-up mentality and is essentially a Software Company that sells insurances and banking products.

We are very interested in the development of individuals and believe craftmanship is important. We therefore leverage guilds to share and build skillsets. We also find the time for social events, currently (still) in digital setting, but we are looking forward to meet each other in person soon.

Who you are

IT is in your blood. You get a lot of energy from new developments and learning new skills. IT is a hobby you make your profession. You like to challenge yourself and your colleagues. You have the guts to try new things and the flexibility and drive to deal with struggles. Furthermore, you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT
  • Knowledge of Microsoft EMS-suite, Windows 10/11 and the O365 platform
  • Experience in Active directory and, networking technologies
  • A winning mentality and the mentality of an entrepreneur
  • Experience in analyzing business processes and strong communication & collaboration skills

Continue developing

It is important to us that you continue to develop yourself. We give you the space and the confidence to grow in your career as well as a person. We help you with:

  • Plenty of training and learning opportunities in our Learning & Development Centre
  • A large (international) network of colleagues who are keen to share their knowledge with you
  • The autonomy to steer your own development path

Employee benefits

You are more than just a colleague and that is something we understand very well at NN. You have many roles in life, leading to different choices. At NN we give you the opportunity to select employee benefits that are important to you. For instance buying additional leave days and flexible working hours. In consultation with your manager and your direct colleagues, you have the option to work out of any location at any time. You get enough flexibility to adjust your working pattern to your personal needs. Also part of the benefits are (currently online) sports lessons and a special allowance to set up your home office and internet use. In addition, you will receive:

  • Salary between €4700 and €6500 depending on your knowledge and experience
  • Collective pension scheme with a personal contribution of only 6%
  • 194.4 hours of leave, based on a 36-hour week (that’s 27 vacation days for a 5-day working week) and one Diversity Day
  • Holiday allowance and a 13th month, paid with your monthly salary
  • NS Business Card 2nd class, which gives you unlimited travel 7 days a week. Do you prefer to travel with your own transport? Then you can declare the kilometres travelled for business and commuting.

‘I have a lot of freedom in the work I do. Essentially, it’s my job to solve problems, but how I do that is completely up to me. I decide what technology to use and the approach I take. I love it. We also share the knowledge we gain from our own experiences.
