Your work makes payments happen, 24*7, easy and fast, anywhere, online, in the shop and on the road. You create state of the art payments solutions. And while developing the most innovative banking applications on the market, you develop yourself together with other Young Professionals to an expert coder in the Young Professional Program IT Engineering also known as YPPIT-E.

You and your job

You design, develop and maintain a key element in the payments ecosystem serving businesses and customers. As a Junior Java Development Engineer Payments Acceptance you create the services that merchants need to operate in a highly dynamic payments world. Merchants want to provide their customers with the smoothest of payment experiences, whether it is in their web shops, their shops downtown or in the mall. Merchants need instant insight in their business at any moment, and be able to adapt their payments services quickly. You work in a DevOps team, you create and run your software together.

As a Software Engineer in the Young Professional Program IT Engineering, you contribute to developing applications in Java, using a modern development suite, and deploy on cloud infrastructure like Azure and PCF. At the same time, you work with other Young Professionals on several business challenges, that cover broader topics within the bank. With the latest technology at your fingertips, there’s nothing keeping you from boosting your career!

  • Together with all the Omnikassa squads and external partners we are continuously developing new online- and offline payment methods/brands for our merchants/shops
  • Creating a seamless online checkout in every web shop

You and your talent

  • A passion for technology, and know the joy of creating software that people love to use
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in e.g. computer sciences, or an equivalent working / thinking level
  • Fluent in English
  • Affinity with software development, and already some experience with the programming language
  • Java and/or Angular, with modern frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, JPA
