The Service

Procurement is the process of purchasing goods or services for use during construction. At Mace we work with over 1,000 different suppliers, all of which have been chosen around our core values. The Role

As a Graduate Procurement Assistant, you will be involved in the support of identifying and managing strategic agreements and relationships with our suppliers, as well as working alongside internal stakeholders to deliver best value.

Working as a Graduate Procurement Assistant your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing relationships with key suppliers and categories
  • Developing procurement strategies for Board approval
  • Identifying and delivering saving and service improvements
  • Writing business cases for Board approval
  • Market analysis and report writing for Mace Executives
  • Supporting projects throughout the procurement process ensuring a consistent approach across the Mace business
  • Engaging with and shadowing senior members of staff to support and deliver projects/tasks
  • Reviewing supply chain performance and working with companies to develop strategies for continuous improvement
  • Ensure the supply chain is aligned to Mace’s purpose to ‘Pursue a Sustainable World’

Minimum Requirements

  • GCSE grade 4/C in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Evidence of significant extra-curricular activities that demonstrate drive and excellent interpersonal skills
  • A passion for a career in the construction industry. However, previous construction experience is not required
