What you can expect from the work

  • You’ll be working closely with technical experts, platform experts, and product experts. You understand that bringing your expertise to the table is great, but also that we work best when we work together;
  • You’re responsible for implementing our quality workflow, coordinate the workflow to ensure it is observed for all our products, for all releases (iOS, Android, Web, Mobile Web, Backend services) and you identify areas for improvement;
  • You’re pragmatic about quality, and you’ll help ensuring that unnecessary bottlenecks are not introduced into our workflows. You understand and can explain the difference between edge cases and corner cases;
  • You’ll work closely with the product teams and the PMs to define clear acceptance criteria and cover possible edge cases in user flows, as early in the software development cycle as possible;
  • You’ll establish a comprehensive set of real-world test data designed to cover edge cases as well as happy-path workflows. You will work with our platform engineers to ensure our staging environment is loaded with quality test data;
  • You’ll coach your developer colleagues on how to effectively test their implementations and ensure they are confident about the quality of what is being released;
  • You’ll work with our developers and platform engineers to identify and patch root causes of outages and high priority failures;
  • You’ll make sure our issues first approach is followed and that we ensure a fast feedback loop for our releases;
  • You’ll collaborate with other Quality team members with initiatives resulting in processes and techniques at a company level.

About you

  • You love a challenge, and you thrive on collaboration;

  • You're focused on details and you like to be one step ahead;
  • You don’t like silos and you are good at prioritising your work;
  • You have meaningful experience as a Quality Engineer, working with software QA tools and processes;
  • You master techniques to drive quality into the product;
  • You’ve worked with Agile processes, CI/CD, user stories, acceptance criteria and testing pyramid concepts;
  • You have good understanding of of BDD (Behaviour Driven Development);
  • Knowledge of SQL & programming would help you excel in this role.
