We run an exciting 12 month placement where you are given an opportunity to work in a role and on real projects making a difference in both your team and the company as a whole. You will receive on the job training and take part in a structured Training & Development Programme designed to give the skills and competencies required for future graduate roles.

  • To produce Tracking and Timing plans for projects and new process introduction across the V12 & V16 production line
  • Helping determine the manufacturing processes required to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
  • Resolve and manage daily issues through root cause analysis.
  • Assisting with plans and designs methods to improve efficiency in production.
  • Working to improve equipment availability and capability by utilizing continuous improvement tools and working cross functionally.
  • Defining manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Attendance to cross functional design reviews with a view to create a quality product

Qualifications

Preferred Discipline: Mechanical Engineering/Automotive Engineering

  • PC literacy
  • 2D & 3D CAD experience (AutoCAD / CREO preferred)
  • Teamwork / Communication / Working with cross functional groups.
  • Practical approach to support technical solutions.
  • Self motivated and ability to manage own projects

Training Provided:

Engine appreciation course, Presentation and Communication techniques, Application of Project Management skills in a working environment, FMEA, 7Step as well as any other tools and skills training as required within the department

Guidance by a qualified mentor under the IMechE MPDS Scheme for the duration of the placement.
