Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be at the core to understand, and participate in how we drive Operations Performance Management in Philips via the simplification, standardization & automation of key Finance Planning & Analyzes (FP&A) industry operations processes. You will be able to support the FP&A finance transformation roadmap within the Industry operations domain and along the way gain experience in a world-class Finance function.

You are responsible for

  • Understanding business needs for existing reports/analyses and help to improve these reports via simplification and automation.
  • Supporting finance transformation at factory level.
  • Help defining reporting standards to be applied over multiple Philips factories.
  • Supporting productivity improvement in design and execution of reporting and planning model and process.
  • Supporting cost price improvement in design and execution of reporting and planning model and process.
  • Various ad-hoc tasks

You are a part of

HealthTech Finance FP&A Industry Operations team, which is a strong international and dynamic team of approximately 50 people with diverse backgrounds and a strong focus on speed, discipline, and execution. It is a global team spread across various locations. You will report to the Teamlead Industry Operations.

You will be working at our head office in Amsterdam.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • You are studying towards your Bachelor/Master degree in Finance with an affinity to IT. Studies like Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering are also welcome, but you must have an affinity in Finance as well.
  • Good data management skills and excellent Excel skill is a MUST
  • Knowledge in database structure preferred
  • Precision, Diligence, teamwork spirit
  • Fluent in oral and written in English

To gain experience in a world-class Finance organization and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders like Finance & Accounting, Operations, Cost Engineering, etc. .You will be part of a young, diverse and multi-national team and able to explore a deep insight into operational and financial flows of a factory.

  • This internship assignment can be suitable to perform your thesis. We do not have a thesis topic “readily available” but you need to find something that is close to the scope of the internship (“e.g. how to efficiently structure data in a Month End Close process”).
  • Duration: 6 months. If you are more flexible and able to extend to a 9 months assignment, we do prefer this option.
  • We are looking for students able to start as soon as possible.
